Cape Dorset Artists

Since 1959, the West Baffin Eskimo Cooperative, which operate Kinngait Studios in Cape Dorset, Nunavut, has enjoyed an international reputation for the exquisite prints, drawing and carvings created by its Inuit artist members.  Through the provision of artist's supplies, studio space and professional development opportunities, Kinngait Studios has played a crucial role in developing four generations of Inuit artists such as Kenojuak Ashevak and her contemporaries.
